Dog park, new trails, new builders coming to Rancho Sienna in 2016
Rancho Sienna is going to the dogs in 2016 – and that’s just one of several highlights in store for residents. The year ahead will also bring new trails, new homebuilders, new neighborhoods and more.
Planned to open this summer, the dog park will be the primo spot for dogs and their humans to enjoy off-leash play in Rancho Sienna.
As currently planned, the dog park will feature a shade structure, a parking area and fenced play areas for small and large dogs, the park will be the highlight at the end of Big View Trail, another new amenity in store for Rancho Sienna residents.
The trailhead for Big View Trail is located right behind The Sienna House, offering parking and restroom facilities for residents. The trail meanders through some of the most scenic Hill Country terrain in Rancho Sienna, filled with big trees and open grassland, before reaching a beautiful meadow of wildflowers, followed by a chain of three ponds and the dog park.
These new amenities are part of more than 100 acres of parks and trails that are ultimately planned for Rancho Sienna. Amenities already complete and ready to enjoy include The Sienna House, Sienna Trail Park, Greenleaf Park, Overlook Park and the Outdoor Dining Room.
Rancho Sienna will continue to expand its variety of new homes in 2016, with new neighborhoods and new homebuilders including Perry Homes. Perry will build in a new neighborhood of 70-foot-wide homesites in Rancho Sienna. Perry will also offer homes in The Retreat, a prestigious enclave of semi-custom homes priced from the $400,000s.
One of the most exciting announcements of 2015 was that the Liberty Hill Independent School District had agreed to purchase a site for a future elementary school located across the street from Overlook Park in Rancho Sienna. It is likely that a bond election for this new school will happen in 2016, followed by construction that could be completed as soon as 2017.
