Leander Station offers rail, bus service approximately 5 miles from Rancho Sienna
With Capital Metro’s Leander Station located approximately 5 miles from Rancho Sienna, residents can enjoy comfortable, friendly and reliable rail and bus service to Downtown Austin, the University of Texas and Lakeline Station.
Located at 800 North Highway 183, Leander Station is the northernmost terminal for MetroRail’s Red Line and northbound express bus routes. The 32-mile commute from Leander Station to Downtown Austin is offered daily except Sunday. For Park & Ride commuters, the station has 600 parking spaces.
Featuring beautiful native landscaping and a gazebo plaza, Leander Station is the focal point of an overall site that is envisioned as a walkable, mixed-use Transit Oriented Development (TOD). Austin Community College has already purchased a 100-acre site for a future campus in this TOD.
In response to the growing popularity of Leander Station with commuters, Capital Metro has announced plans to add new train cars and buses to the station by early 2018.
Leander Station is located approximately 5 miles from The Sienna House via Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Hero Way, or approximately 6 miles via Ronald Reagan and RR 2243.
