Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic – July 4, 2017
Live Nation, C3 Presents and Circuit of The Americas (COTA) are proud to announce the return of Willie Nelson's 4th of July Picnic to Circuit of The Americas. The legendary Willie Nelson plays host to one of America's most celebrated festivals, and the 4th of July Picnic returns to COTA for the third year. Joining Willie at this year's party is a star-studded cavalcade of his friends.
HEB Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks – July 4, 2017
Austin Symphony’s July 4th Concert and Fireworks is an Austin Tradition. Free Fireworks, and a Free Live performance for all central Texans. Great food and drinks, and a variety of local Arts & Crafts vendors.
Zilker Summer Musicals – July 7 – August 12, 2017
Pack a picnic and enjoy the free, annual musical at the Zilker Hillside Theatre. The outdoor amphitheater will host performances of "The Wizard of Oz" Thursdays through Sundays beginning around 8:15 p.m.
Austin Ice Cream Festival – August 12, 2017
The Annual Austin Ice Cream Festival is fun for the whole family. Games, activities, contests, live entertainment and of course, ice cream, will keep you cool and happy.
Bat Fest– August 19, 2017
Celebrate this batty event as the world's largest urban bat colony (1.5 million Mexican Free-Tailed Bats which take up seasonal residence beneath the Ann Richard's Congress Street Bridge) take to the skies for their nightly flight. Enjoy live music, children activities, a costume contest and more.
CEDAR PARK EVENTS
4th of July Parade & Celebration – July 4, 2017
Enjoy live music, bingo, a washer tournament, air castles, free watermelon and a fireworks display. Fees apply for food concessions, face painting, and carnival games and rides. You may also cool off in Milburn Pool, which is open from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m. with daily admission rates applying.
The Original Harlem Globetrotters – July 7, 2017
Back by popular demand, the world famous Harlem Globetrotters are bringing their unrivaled show back to the Austin area. As a special summertime engagement, the team will play one game for the first time at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park on Friday, July 7, at 7 p.m.
Senior Sock Hop (60+) - July 21, 2017
It's time to dust of your dancing shoes and hop on over to enjoy an evening of fun, dinner and dancing.
Summer Teen Night - Every Sunday during summer
Every Sunday night, Wild West Cedar Park locks up the liquor & locks out the adults. Doors open at 7pm, $9 Cover. 13- 18 year olds welcome with current high school ID.
Austin Dog Alliance Summer Camps - July & August 2017
Austin Dog Alliance will be hosting various summer camps at their facility off of New Hope. All About Dogs, All About Puppies, Level 1 - Bring Your Dog & Level 2 - Bring Your Dog (Dog Sports). More information on their website.
First Fridays on the Square - Every First Friday of Each Month
Every First Friday of the month merchants stay open late for evening shopping – a wonderful time to explore The Most Beautiful Town Square in Texas! Start the weekend by strolling the historic streets, visiting galleries, meeting local artists and listening to live music in local restaurants and shops. Make sure you drop in at the Williamson Museum and the Georgetown Art Center from 6 – 8 p.m.! You never know what fun awaits you on a First Friday!

Always...Patsy Cline - Weekly on Friday, Sat. & Sun. August 18 – September 17, 2017
Yesenia McNett returns to the Palace stage for Always, Patsy Cline, a musical tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30. The performance includes down-home country humor and true emotion. The show includes many of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as Crazy, I Fall to Pieces, Sweet Dreams, and Walking After Midnight.
Leander Fitness - Monday’s – Thursday’s in July & August
Join the Leander Parks & Rec department for Leander Fitness the months of July & August. Zumba, Piloxing, Intro to Fitness, and MixxedFit among the fitness options. All classes are $5 daily or $45 for 10 classes.
Liberty Fest – July 4, 2017
Leander’s annual Independence Day celebration - Liberty Fest! This is fantastic FREE event perfect for the whole family taking place on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017. There will be live music, vendors, children's activities, and Fireworks.
Movies in the Park - August 4, 2017
Often described as a combination of state-of-the-art technology and the nostalgia of the 1950s drive-in, the Movies in the Park series provides families the opportunity to spend time together under the stars while enjoying first run movies...all for FREE!
Movies in the Park are held at the Benbrook Ranch Park located at 1100 Halsey Dr. There will be music and games before the Movie and the movie will begin just after dusk (7:45-8:30pm).
LIBERTY HILL EVENTS
Liberty Hill Independence Day Spectacular - July 1, 2017
The Liberty Hill Independence Day Spectacular begins at 6PM Saturday, July 1, 2017, at City Park on CR 200. This family-friendly event features loads of fun activities including an Apple Pie and Homemade Ice Cream Contests, Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest, Liberty Hill’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, numerous children’s activities, food trucks, and a variety of entertainment, including an outdoor concert, raffles, and much more. The fun begins at 6pm, and a spectacular 30-minute fireworks show begins after dark.

Round Rock Market Days - July 1, 2017
Mainstreet Productions hosts Round Rock Market Days, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. March through December, (October Market held on the 14th) at Centennial Plaza (301 West Bagdad Street).
Bring the entire family to this monthly event featuring local artists that create traditional wares, jewelry, metal work, and more. This show also includes apparel, accessories, antiques, home decor, pet gifts and live music. Food vendors onsite with tasty treats and drinks.
July 4th Frontier Days Celebration with Austin Symphonic Band - July 4, 2017
The Austin Symphonic Band will perform in front of a crowd of thousands at Round Rock's Old Settlers Park, as part of the annual July 4 Frontier Days Celebration. Watermelon, sky divers, music and fireworks celebrate the 4th of July.
RRISD Pop-up Library - Multiple Dates in July
The Summer Pop-Up Library and Mobile Makerspace will begin the first full week of June and run until August 1. The library will visit parks, public areas and apartment complexes in the east and west side of the district one day each week. A mobile makerspace will also travel throughout the district once weekly to bring hands-on creative activities to students.

5K for Clay - August 12, 2017
Round Rock’s 14th Annual 5K for Clay takes place at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center.
The event honors Clay Madsen and the Clay Madsen Recreation Center which strives to be a safe place where children and adults can learn the leadership and sportsmanship qualities that Clay upheld in his life which was ended by cancer.
Car Show at Centennial Plaza - August 20, 2017
Family friendly car show held every third Sunday 10a.m. to 1p.m. in Downtown Round Rock. No registration needed, show and shine style event.
Love your ride? Share it at the show! Arrive by 9:50 a.m. to find a location, spaces are available first come first served. Entrance to show is located off of Bagdad and Brown Street.
Solar Eclipse Viewing Party - August 21, 2017
Round Rock Public Library, in partnership with the Space Science Institute, invites you to experience the solar eclipse over Round Rock on August 21, 2017.
The party will be in Prete Plaza while the moon’s shadow will move across our area, noon – 2 p.m. Join us for as much of the event as you’d like.
