Rancho Sienna schools score high on Children at Risk rankings
Children at Risk, a statewide nonprofit children’s advocacy group, has released its annual school rankings for 2017, and the results include high marks for the highly regarded Liberty Hill Independent School District schools serving Rancho Sienna.
Liberty Hill High School received an overall grade of A-. Liberty Hill Junior High also received an A-, and Liberty Hill Intermediate earned a B+.
In August, Rancho Sienna students will attend the brand-new Rancho Sienna Elementary School, which includes many innovative learning and technology features.
It will take a couple of years for this new school to be ranked by Children at Risk, but parents can find confidence in the fact that the district’s existing elementary school, Bill Burden Elementary, has an A rating from the group.
For the past 12 years, Children at Risk has calculated its annual school rankings for major Texas cities using student performance on STAAR reading and math tests, and indices for campus performance, student growth and college readiness.

Liberty Hill schools also receive high ratings from Niche.com, a national review website that uses rigorous analyses of public data sets and millions of reviews.
Liberty Hill ISD has an overall district grade of A- from Niche.com, with an A for Academics and an A- for College Readiness. Among campuses, Liberty Hill High and Liberty Hill Intermediate have A- grades, and Liberty Hill Junior High earns an A.
