Meet the residents: The Botkins family fell in love with Rancho Sienna’s trails and views

Welcome to the Botkins family, who moved to Rancho Sienna from the Bastrop area with their three daughters.

Q.  How did you come to live at Rancho Sienna?
A.  I took the general manager position at the Home Depot in Georgetown, and we were looking at putting our girls in the Liberty Hill Independent School District. When we went house hunting, my wife and the girls fell in love with Rancho Sienna’s views and trails.

Q.   What are your favorite things about the community?
A.   Our neighbors that have become our friends are the biggest reason we love it here. The wildlife and activities are also a great perk of living here.

Q.   Tell us about your family.
A.   My wife and I have been married for seven years. We have three very smart and very beautiful daughters. Their ages are 16, 8, and our littlest is 6.

Q.   What would you tell someone considering a move to Rancho Sienna?
A.   I would say this is a big, little subdivision, in the sense that generally people here look out for one another and take pride in where they live.

Q.   What’s your favorite place to go out on a date?
A.   We love going to Freda’s Seafood, and we always enjoy catching a new release at Alamo Drafthouse.

Q.   What surprised you most about moving here?
A.   Our first thought was that this community was far away, when it actuality we are just 10-15 minutes from almost anything we need.

Q.   Can you share something very few people know about you?
A.   We enjoy outdoor activities as a family, whether it’s going on a hike with the little girls, or taking our oldest to the gun and archery range. I’m a fan of anything with a lot of horsepower and that goes fast, and working on my vehicles and sharing that knowledge with my girls is something I love.
