5 fun summer camps and activities near Rancho Sienna

Summer’s right around the corner, and fortunately Rancho Sienna is near many opportunities to keep the kids engaged in fun and enriching camps and other activities. Here are 5 to consider.

Code Ninjas Camps – Newly opened in Cedar Park, Code Ninjas offers full-day and half-day summer camps where kids can learn basic coding skills, build their own video games, program and fly their own drones, and much more.

Performing Arts Camps – Located in downtown Georgetown, A Premium Blend School of Performing Arts has summer camps for guitar, violin, piano, voice, rock and musical theater. Students will learn to read and write music, play an instrument of choice and take part in educational games.

Parks & Recreation – The Georgetown Parks & Recreation Dept. offers a wide variety of summer enrichment camps in robotics, art, engineering and other areas.

Camp Goodwater – Also from Georgetown Parks & Rec, Camp Goodwater offers two summer day camps separated by age groups. Lower Camp is for ages 5-8, and Upper Camp is for ages 9-12. Kids engage in a variety of traditional and non-traditional activities, and weekly field trips explore places such as Inner Space Cavern, the Thinkery and the Rock’N River Water Park.

History Camps – Georgetown’s Williamson Museum is offering two Summer History Explorer's Camps. Celebrating the area’s cowboy heritage, “Round Rock Roundup” will take place at the museum’s Chisholm Trail location from June 18-29. An innovation-themed camp, “Make It Good: Inventors and Innovations,” will be at the main Georgetown Square location from July 16-27.

Rancho Sienna offers its residents plenty of opportunities to have fun right at home, including swimming or enjoying an event at the Sienna House, exploring miles of trails, playing volleyball at Greenleaf Park, fishing in a pond and much more!
