At Rancho Sienna, we love how our location is convenient to many of the most popular family-friendly attractions and activities throughout Austin, Georgetown and the Texas Hill Country.
To create our ultimate guide to summer fun in Central Texas, we’ve rounded up some of our best blogs on parks, museums, swimming holes and other things to enjoy ‘til school starts back. Most are for the whole family, but we’ve also included a few with special appeal for the adults – and the four-legged kiddos.
If you have any favorite Austin, Georgetown and Hill Country activities that we haven’t mentioned and you’d love to share, please tell us about them in the comments!

Peachy keen
Summer is peach season in the Texas Hill Country, and kids will love a day trip to one or more of the area’s 18 peach orchards. Some allow you to pick your own fruit, and most offer peach ice cream and other cool treats that kids will love. The Hill Country is also home to a growing number of lavender farms. Peak season ends in early summer, but they’re fun to visit any time of the year. Some lavender farms include horses, chickens and vineyards – offering something for everyone.
