Village Builders’ new Eppright model home showcases low-maintenance living
Village Builders’ new Eppright model home in Rancho Sienna is part of the brand-new Havergate Collection, a series of new one-story floor plans designed after many hours of conversations with homebuyers interested in a low-maintenance lifestyle.
Priced from the high $200,000s to the low $300,000s, these new plans were created with feedback received mainly from age 55+ homebuyers, but they have broad appeal to homebuyers at any age who want to scale down and simplify their lives.
The focus is on low-maintenance living, with thoughtful features designed to enhance outdoor living, enable a carefree lock-and-leave lifestyle, and provide the latest in home technology.
Homebuyers can touch, see and feel this new collection in the new Eppright model home, now open in one of Rancho Sienna’s newest neighborhoods.
What makes these floor plans unique? It’s a long list of extra, special touches, such as plentiful storage spaces inside the home and the garage. Upstairs storage areas, accessible by fixed staircases, are included in some plans.
The Eppright displays this abundant and flexible storage capability in several areas. In this model home, a room-sized storage area next to the laundry room is decorated as a crafting and hobby room. There is another walk-in storage space off of the foyer, and the pantry is also large enough to walk into.
All three bedrooms have walk-in closets, and the master suite has a huge closet with built-in shelving in the master bath.
Village Builders made a slight tweak to the Eppright’s drop zone, which provides a convenient everyday entry from the garage.
Most traditional drop zones feature backpack racks and low benches where family members can sit down and take off muddy shoes. For its new Havergate Collection plans, Village Builders tweaked the drop zone to replace the backpack rack with upper and lower cabinets that are within easy reach, with a comfortable 36-inch countertop height so homeowners don’t have to bend over or kneel to set down packages.
Village Builders also designed with beloved four-legged family members in mind, making space for optional fully air-conditioned kennel or storage areas. Accessible through the laundry room, these options help residents stay organized, and help keep pets happy and secure.
Designed for socializing
For hosting friends and family, these plans offer gorgeous kitchens optimized for entertaining, with seating for four or more guests at the center islands, and purposeful three-foot-wide doors for ease of movement by homeowners and guests.
The Eppright has a large island with seating for four, next to a casual dining area with a table that seats six.
These homes celebrate outdoor living with expansive front porches and rear covered patios, meant to serve as natural extensions of the indoor living space.
Wired for connectivity
Technology is at the forefront of every Village Builders home, and that’s especially true for the Legacy Series, where the latest smart home features help to enable a lock-and-leave lifestyle for residents who love to travel or visit family members for extended periods.
All homes are Wi-Fi certified and future-proofed to allow homeowners to embrace new technology as it develops. Already, homeowners will be able to set thermostats, turn off lights and lock doors, all from the palm of their hand using a smartphone or tablet.
Ready for aging in place
Plans in the Havergate Collection have three-foot-wide doorways and hallways throughout. This not only creates a very open and spacious layout, but it also easily accommodates wheelchair access, should that be necessary or become needed at some point in the future.
Plans offer options for aging in place, including a master bath option that turns into a fully accessible space featuring a zero-threshold roll-in shower with grab bars, wall mounted fold-down seat, adjustable hand-held shower head, and vanity base cabinet with hot water protection skirt.
Lighting was another focus for the new plans. All ceiling fixtures feature LED downlight bulbs to provide abundant brightness throughout the home. Special care was taken to make sure to provide plenty of light to areas with no access to natural light, such as closets and storage areas.
Flexible and thoughtful
As the Eppright exemplifies, the Havergate Collection offers homebuyers a number of opportunities to customize their new homes.
In addition to the flexible storage areas, buyers can choose to build one of the three bedrooms as a study with French doors.
The Eppright has a built-in window seat in the primary bedroom suite, an included feature that adds a feeling of added light and spaciousness to this room.
With more free time opened up by living in a low-maintenance home, residents can enjoy more than 100 acres of parks, trails and other recreational amenities in Rancho Sienna, along with opportunities for recreation and entertainment in nearby cities such as Georgetown and the surrounding Texas Hill Country.
