High-tech home, low-stress parks sell the Ribeiro family on Rancho Sienna
Technology was a deciding factor when Roggers Ribeiro, a project manager for a global electronics company, searched for a new home in Austin.
Roggers works for Flextronics, a multinational electronics contract manufacturer, and in 2019 he was offered the opportunity to relocate from Dallas to the Capital City.
Roggers discovered Rancho Sienna and Lennar in an online search, and the leading-edge technology package provided by the builder’s Everything’s Included package won him over.
Lennar’s Wi-Fi Certified package includes a future-proofed home with integrated automation and voice control with Alexa, and a commercial-grade network that provides coverage in every room with no dead spots. This allows buyers to control their lights, front door lock, thermostat and other systems with hands-free voice control.
Since moving in, Roggers and his wife, Amanda, have also come to appreciate the low-tech pleasures offered by more than 100 acres of parks, trails and natural open space in Rancho Sienna.
Although they had owned a condominium in Dallas, Rancho Sienna is the first place where they owned a traditional single-family home, and they love all the nearby amenities. They also appreciate the architectural diversity you can see throughout Rancho Sienna, with homes built in a variety of styles, such as Hill Country, Craftsman and Contemporary.
“When we first looked at Rancho Sienna, some friends told us it was a community mostly for older people, but we could immediately see that was not true,” Roggers said. “Rancho Sienna has a wonderful variety of residents, with something for every age to enjoy.”
Roggers said that when his grandmother visited from Brazil, she was excited to get up at six o’clock every morning to go fishing at the lake near the family’s home.
One of the youngest Rancho Sienna residents is Roggers’ and Amanda’s daughter, Victoria. Born in 2019, on New Year’s Eve, she was conceived soon after the couple moved into their new home. The photos in this blog were taken last year when one of their friends, a talented photographer, visited from Brazil.
