Rancho Sienna’s schools score high in academic, athletic rankings

Rancho Sienna is proud to be part of the Liberty Hill Independent School District, highly regarded for its academic excellence as well as its athletic achievements.

Here’s a look at some of the latest rankings for Liberty Hill ISD and the individual campuses serving Rancho Sienna, from our own Rancho Sienna Elementary School to Liberty Hill High School.

Liberty Hill ISD

Liberty Hill ISD is a three-time winner of the Austin American-Statesman’s Breazeale Cup, which ranks the most successful high school athletic programs in Central Texas.

Liberty Hill ISD has won first place in this prestigious award competition for four years, including 2019. For 2020, the district placed third, only one point behind the second-place finisher and only 5 points behind the district in first place.

Liberty Hill ISD also excels in athletics in the latest rankings from Niche, which evaluates schools and districts nationwide based on public data and ratings from real people.

Niche ranks Liberty Hill ISD as the No. 1 Best School District for Athletes in Williamson County, and No. 3 in the overall Austin Area.

Liberty Hill ISD is also ranked highly for academics and other measures of student achievement. The district has an overall Niche grade of A-, with additional A- grades for Academics, Teachers and College Prep.

Niche lists Liberty Hill as the No. 3 Best School District in Williamson County, and No. 2 among Districts with the Best Teachers in Williamson County.

Liberty Hill High School

Niche ranks Liberty Hill High School as the No. 3 Best High School for Athletes in Williamson County, and No. 4 among 106 high schools in the Austin Area.

Liberty Hill High has an overall Niche grade of B+, with a B+ for Academics, and Bs for Teachers and College Prep, Health & Safety and Diversity.

Liberty Hill Junior High & Intermediate

Serving grades 5-6, Liberty Hill Intermediate has an A- overall Niche grade, with an A- for Academics and an A for Teachers. It is in the top half of the Best Public Middle Schools in Williamson County, when considering only traditional schools and not charter and magnet schools.

Liberty Hill Junior High serves grades 7-8 and has an overall A grade from Niche with an A for Academics and an A+ for Teachers. It ranks in the top half of the Best Public Middle Schools in Williamson County, and is No. 7 among 38 schools for the Best Public Middle School Teachers in Williamson County.

Rancho Sienna Elementary School

Located in the heart of Rancho Sienna, Rancho Sienna Elementary opened in 2017 and has an overall A grade from Niche. It also has an A for Academics and an A+ for Teachers. It serves grades Pre-K through 4.

Rancho Sienna is also home to Primrose School at Rancho Sienna, located across the street from Rancho Sienna Elementary. Opened in 2018, this private preschool enrolls children ranging from infants to kindergarten age. It also has afterschool and summer programs for children ages 5-12.
