A preview of Rancho Sienna events coming in 2021

With social distancing beginning to ease, Rancho Sienna is looking ahead to resuming our tradition of resident events that bring neighbors together for good times throughout the year.

Here is a look ahead at what’s planned for the rest of 2021 by our recently appointed Lifestyle Coordinator, Jenny Hernandez, and the resident-led Lifestyle Committee chaired by Ashley Byrnes.

Please note that some details are still tentative at this point and subject to change. However, we’re so excited about resuming Rancho Sienna’s neighborly lifestyle, we couldn’t wait to share. More details will be announced closer to the date of each event. Most events will be held at Sienna House, our flagship amenity and community center.

May has already been an active month, with a Crawfish Boil, Snake Safety Class and our ongoing Third Thursday Thirsty Social event taking place.

A Summer Kick-Off celebration is planned for May 28, welcoming the Memorial Day weekend and summer with popsicles and ice cream novelties.

On June 11, the Movies on the Lawn series will kick off with “Monsters University,” complete with refreshments and a food truck.

An Ice Cream Social on June 18 will have cones, cups and choice of toppings, with food trucks also on hand.

July’s festivities will begin with a Market Shops event on July 17, showcasing resident vendors selling their crafts and other goods, along with food trucks.

A Summer Concert on July 24 will feature live music and food trucks.

On August 7, the Movies on the Lawn series continues with “The Secret Life of Pets” and a selection of food trucks to celebrate back-to-school time.

The pace picks up again in September, with Goat Yoga on September 4 and a Community Wide Garage Sale on September 11. A Goodwill truck will be on hand to collect any unsold or unwanted items at the sale.

On September 16, the Third Thursday Thirsty Social will focus on wine tasting and pairing.

Keeping with the wine theme, Girl’s Night Out on September 24 will be a fun event at the Sienna House pavilion where ladies will enjoy painting along with wine tasting and other fun.

On October 9, one of Rancho Sienna’s most popular annual traditions, Harvest Fest & Market Days, will return will fall-themed festivities, delicious treats, resident vendors and more.

Residents will compete for the title of “best chili” in the Chili Cook-Off on November 5, featuring awards for first, second and third place.

The final major event planned for the year will be Photos with Mr. & Mrs. Claus on December 11, complete with a resident cookie exchange and a food truck offering coffee and hot cocoa. The Sienna House fireplace will be fully decked out to provide a festive backdrop for photos.
